Ways to avoid the raining season... impossible

I went to Tokyo Dome's attraction park today with Sou, but since the weather SUCKED we only rode two of the attractions. A really creepy roller coaster and the Paris wheel! After that we went to a game hall and played Tekken. Sou won over me three times and no one ever wins over me when it comes to Tekken so I was majorly disappointed, haha.

Anyhow, since the weather pretty much ruined the day we went back to school to study and I did my homework and it was all fine. A fun thing was when Kibe came and I told him I missed him today while being with Sou, but in Korean and all the Korean people went all crazy hahahaha "AAAH A GAIJIN SPEAKING KOREAN"-reaction kinda. Sou's reaction was priceless too, haha.

Me, Sou, Hana, Kibe, Frankie and his girlfriend went to the izakaya we went to last time. I think they ordered like ten bottles of soju but since it's a Tuesday I didn't really drink anything beside soda and ate some awesome spicy korean food, I love that food omg. However, things got a bit out hand and Frankie bought chocolate to his girlfriend in the middle of our izakaya evening and she ended up opening all of the packages and stuffing them in Sou's mouth. It was hilarious. However, the time flew and afterwards Sou followed me to the Shin-okubo station but Frankie's girlfriend bought ice cream to us first and we ate it on the way. Haha, so sweet! ♥

Dropping your pants while jogging around the imperial palace

I didn't take any pictures today because my bag was simply too full with things and it was raining heavily too. However, I met up with Yuki today in Shibuya and headed for the Imperial Palace where we were going to jog around. Some things came up pretty unexpectedly and the first thing was that we apparently went to an adidas-store because they had showers and lockers and we paid like 600円 for that. Now, this is what I love and hate about Japan - you pay for such a simple thing as a shower. But the thing is also that they fill the prices with other juicy service, for instance we got a coach that stretched with us for like ten minutes. I died laughing because it was so unexpected and he was so nice and all, but still... and the showers had free schampoo and conditioners and body wash. You also got free body lotion and access to a blow dryer.

Now, imagine jogging around the imperial palace when it's raining like never before. My first thought was "ah, well it's fine... I've been jogging in this weather before". Jogging in the rain was definitely no problem, what was a problem though was that my pants fell off in the middle of the street because I hadn't been able to knit them that well. It was impossible to keep them on so I simply ended up holding my jogging pants while jogging. It was quite an experience... jogging around the imperial palace holding your pants while it's raining. Haha, I'm still laughing.

After that Yuki treated me to korean dinner, since he promised me he'd do that because I passed IB. Once again I ate the vegetarian version of bibimbab!!! I FAIL, I love to eat that with meat but somehow I always manage to order the wrong one.

Yokohama

I visited Yokohama yesterday with Sou, Frankie, Frankie's girlfriend, Hana and Tablo oppa yesterday. The weather was insanely perfect since the sun was shining and it was freaking hot, even though it's still the raining season. Yuka and Said met up with us when we arrived and we just walked around in a very European-looking part of Yokohama. Yuka explained to me that the reason that part looked so European is because many businessmen who live in Japan for work want to feel at home so they paid for transformation. I simply think it's sad because the best thing would be to get used to and appreciate the beauty of Japan instead of trying to recreate another boring Europe on the other side of the world. But I guess that's just me.

Afterwards we walked through Yokohama bay and we spotted a middle-aged man taking professional pictures of a doll and touching it in a very uncomfortable way. Everyone got a bit scared and we took several pictures of his otakuness! Yuka was like "I don't want him to touch that doll!" haha. However, we headed to a game center and took purikura pictures because it got too hot and we managed to take purikura even though we were eight people.

Yokohama Cosmo World was something I really enjoyed experiencing. It's like an amusement park with only a few rides and we rode two of them - the pink roller coaster and the Paris wheel. The Paris wheel gave many of us excellent photo possibilities and I think Said took the best advantage of them since he is an amazing photographer.

In Japan it gets dark at 7 PM and we realized we might have to head home soon but instead we just went to the other side of the bay and sat, talked, enjoyed the view. I really had a lot of fun today and me and Yuka have already planned for us guys to meet up soon again to have a BBQ, hanabi and wear Yukata! Haha, I've been persuaded to buy a yukata now and Yuka's going to go with me when I buy one :)

Korean izakaya & karaoke

This tuesday I went to a Korean izakaya with Sou and his korean friends including a girl named Hana that goes in the same class as I do. Korean izakayas are definitely recommended and it was my first time to go to one. I think we ordered more than five bottles of soju and still none of them got really DRUNK like we do in Sweden. Instead they and I had extra fun and everyone seemed somehow mesmerized that I really enjoy/love korean music and as soon as I mentioned "Seo Taiji" everyone went all "O_________O!!!!!!!". Anyhow, it was a very nice evening and afterwards we went upstairs to sing karaoke. I've never been singing karaoke in my entire life and the subs were in hangul so I pretty much failed. However, I sang songs like K - Only Human, Taeyang - Wedding dress etc. and I even tried singing 2NE1's song "In the club" with one of the korean girls. Of course we failed, Bom's parts are friggin' impossible to handle!

Afterwards Sou paid for me and I felt so bad :( he's way too nice. Then he and his friend followed me and another korean girl to the Shin-okubo station where I took JR line home. Do want to do this all over again sometime! Next week we're going to a nomihoudai/karaoke/izakaya with school and I'm REALLY looking forward to it.

Tokyo, got a rhythm

The pictures are from Tomomi's facebook and they're from last Saturday when I partied in Roppongi with awesome people. However, too many free drinks... let's stop right here yao.

Today I met Yuki in Shibuya and exchanged some of my leftover money from Sweden, Euro and Kronor and got about 11000円. After that we went to Ueno park and observed the beautiful scenery that Yuki thought was very European, I disagreed. We went looking for a Haruki Murakami book called "Norwegian wood" but we only found "Kafka on the shore". I've already bought that book once but I forgot it in Canada so I figured I might as well buy a new one.

Yuki lives in Meguro so he showed me a new part of Tokyo which he lives in and I saw the Roppongi Hills, it was really cool. I took so many pictures and my package still haven't arrived, damn you airpost... anyhow, you guys should definitely get ready for a picspam.

Also, I ate kimchi with rice, miso soup, some Japanese salad and salmon. OH HOW DELICIOUS IT WAS, but I'm so tired right now and my IB grades arrive tomorrow. Seriously, not feeling that awesome about it, still having hopes tho.

Sofia leaving Tokyo :(

Yesterday me and some Swedish friends who live in Japan (along with a Japanese guy) went to a izakaya for nomihoudai (= drink as much as you want for a fixed amount of money). We went there because our friend Sofia who had come to Tokyo for a visit was to leave for Sweden today and we had to have one last celebration with her. We ordered all sorts of cocktails and drinks, however in Japan the drinks are so weak that most people don't get drunk but I drank several cocktails to try out and got ridiculously drunk and took tons of pictures. Shota became my nomitomi (drinking buddy) because I decided so apparently, LOL don't know why. I remember our table cheering for another table of Japanese salary men drinking and then when we were about to leave I was so happy and I just randomly went up to a group of Japanese guys and asked them if they were Japanese and they said yes of course and then they asked me where I was from (I don't remember/understand how I understood them speaking in Japanese) and they asked me what kind of music I liked and the only thing I said was "Laruku" HAHAHAHAHA. OUT OF ALL MY FAVORITE BANDS IN THE WORLD I SAID LARUKU. Omg, hilarious.

Anyhow, the night was so much fun and when I came home at 11:40PM I seriously crashed in my bed and died for 13 hours. Woke up like 13PM today. Seriously, I've been so tired this week managing only to sleep like four hours a night due to school.

Tonight I'm going to La Fayette with Nana and some of her friends. I'm really looking forward to it and I hope it'll be fun.

Spontaneous

My cellphone is waaay pimped now and I'm not done yet. Going to Chiara tomorrow again to buy some more 189円 stickers and then put them in the middle.

Today has been very humid and hot, what a surprise right? How about no. A lot of funny things happened today and in school we learned how to count large numbers in Japanese and I thought of it as very useful. After school I took a walk to Shinjuku and I wanted to find Citibank so that I could convert my Swedish money and some Euro into Yen. However, I didn't find Citibank but I'll go there tomorrow, instead I found a small boutique where I wanted to buy decorations to my cellphone. Two women who worked there spotted my BIG BANG accessory on my cellphone and they immediately started talking to me about BIG BANG and that they liked "TOP" but that they also were very fond of "Tohoshinki". But I was like "Eee, Jejung?" and they were like all "AAAAAA!!!!" and they were like in their 30s, yet so cute. They gave me stickers for free when I asked how much it costs they were like "PURESENTO!".

I was to meet Nana at Hachiko at three a clock but she was late and I waited there for some time and then an old man came up to me and asked me about my pimp stuff on my cellphone and I explained to him that I had done it myself etc. and he started showing me his glasses that had diamonds on them and he wanted to practice his English. I got to know that he was a judge in some court in Tokyo and that he had just won a very important case and we talked while I waited for Nana. Then he started losing his vocabulary and he tried to express himself through a Japanese girl that sat next to me waiting for someone else. She translated to me and me and the girl somehow got friendly with eachother and we exchanged phone numbers. Her name was Nobuko, I think I'll text her someday soon and see if she wants to meet ahhaha. I LOVE TOKYO, spontaneous!

However at 6.15 PM I had to go to Hachiko again since I was to meet Yuka and her boyfriend which I was to go to an Izakaya with. When I got there her boyfriend had brought a classmate from his class and I had seen the guy in school since Yuka's boyfriend also goes to my Japanese Language School. We drank and ate really nice stuff at the Izakaya for a pretty cheap price 270円 for anything ordered (a piece). The classmate of Yuka's boyfriend Said was named Sou and when he saw my BIG BANG accessories he went all crazy and he said that he liked BIG BANG too and we started talking a lot about it and decided to go to a karaoke soon and sing their songs, haha. Afterwards Yuka and Said took another train since they live further away from Tokyo and me and Sou took the Yamanote line. Now, I'm at home and I'm going to take a shower, do my nails and prepare for tomorrow. I'm going to the Korean music shop where the cute guy works, let's just hope he's still there!
